Front Main Bearing Cap

Front Cap with Plastigage

Center Bearing Cap with plastigage

Closer View of Center Cap

Another View to better notice crack

Side View of Center Cap
pretty Useless!

Other Side. Just as useless but I took it anyway!

OK placed plastigage sideways as I thought it might tell me something about crank
`
View of the front of engine. Notice new timing gear

Moving my way backwards

Now moved to center bearing

Further back

This is of back of Cam. Notice corrosion and possible crack.
The spring in the cam plunger broke and think the cam walked back and forth.

Center bearing. I think :) Notice my camera will not focus up close.

That is the bottom of the Oil fill line. That same sludge filled the Oil Chamber and oil Pan.

Back to the front of engine. Notice the corrosion. Is that normal for a Model A?

Center Bearing again. Again  I think.
This is an empty space. Tells you my total knowledge of Model A engines.  Now if this was a Chevy small block especially a race motor there would not be an empty space.  You can write me direct at:
